The potentially warmer weather was a bug hope for me this month. I say potential because itโs almost April as Iโm writing this, and New York hasnโt seen sun in a number of days.
As I detailed in my journey of a recent post, ('โstyle, thoughts, and figuring out my career goals.โ) I am on a journey to bring back some whim and color to my closet. To break out from my winter wardrobe with color and funk, trying out color and styles I love, but donโt have in my wardrobe year-round.
I recently spent a weekend in Miami and subsequently did some fun shopping for my trip before I left. The following is a small collection detailing the highlights of those purchases as well as pieces I had bought in anticipation for warmer weather and recently has the chance to wear for the first time.
My summer wishlist holy grail item
After much Pinterest scrolling in January, I decided that the piece at the top of my wishlist for summer was a Jacquemus bucket hat. After much scrolling on TRR, and an inability to just add any one to my cart, I happened upon one such hat at the Buffalo Exchange in Chelsea. With credit to spend, the hat was basically free, and I was a winner. Ultimately I would like one in a color as opposed to black, but for now this has satiated my need for a summer hat.
THE heels for spring summer
Itโs no secret that cheetah print is in style right now, and these heels from Zara have been at the top of all the fashion girlies shopping lists. I bought them before I left for Miami, and can report they are surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in. (would recommend sizing up)
This bag makes me feel like SRG
The Chanel Vanity Case has been the only bag revolving around my feeds and timeline for a few weeks now, so when I happened upon this one in Zara, it was an immidiate purchase. The top handle makes me feel like Sophia Richie, especially with the sleek black. It also comes in a canvas-leather variation as well, that I feel is more suited to summer..
Monthly lip favs
The YSL lip products have been on my list of beauty products to try out for some time now, and itโs safe to say all the advertisements got to me. I honesty really love the product. Itโs a little sheer, but still gives you color, which I am always happy for.
My non-sneaker shoe of the summer
The conversation has been swirling online for what shoes to wear in the summer, and what the next it-sneaker is after the reign of adidas falls. Iโm not sure about everyone else, but these platform flip flop style sandals from Zara will be mine. They have a strap around the ankle, and are honestly really sleek and comfortable. I can see myself pairing them with so many outfits. As for everyone else? FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU LIKE! please stop waiting to be informed by trends, instead find what you like and incorporate the trend later on.
Most unique beach bag Iโve seen in a while
This bag from Mixology makes me feel like Iโm a kid in summer camp again.
I bought this at the end of the summer, and only used it for the first time in Miami! Itโs what I used as my personal item on the plane, so from plane bag to beach bag I give it a 10/10.
This thrifted vest
Iโve had a fringe something saved on my Pinterest fashion inspo board for quite some time, and really loved this one I happened upon in Buffalo exchange recently. I think the vest silhouette suits me, and bonus points for not being black!
A strawberry lemonade sweater
Iโve been loving everything across platforms from
recently, and loved a certain crewneck she was wearing in a recent TikTok. The same day I purchased the vest above, I came across this crewneck at Crossroads with a similar neckline. As for colors, pink is essentially a neutral in my closet at this point, and yellow is growing in numbers.
Thatโs all for March!
