Trader Joe’s is unrivaled when it comes to a fun grocery shopping experience. Fun snacks, affordable produce, some of the best frozen food in the game, and an amazing seasonal selection. One of the things about TJ’s that is fairly well known but not acknowledged is their “dupes” of certain popular foods. Their “Crunch Chili Oil” is like Momofuku’s “Chili Crunch Sauce.” However, in my humble opinion, one of the most underappreciated sections at TJ’s is their body care section. Not only are the prices amazing, and the dupes for certain high-end products amazing, but the quality is outstanding—specifically, the body butter.
The Coconut Body Butter is the classic body cream I believe everyone should use. It smells excellent, nourishes your skin, and lasts forever. I remember years ago when my aunt bought it for the first time and gave one to my mom, who always keeps hand cream in the kitchen, and I would always find myself opening the tub to get a sniff of the delicious moisturizer or taking a dollop put on my hands. In October, when I went on a little self-care trip to Trader Joe’s, I stood in the body care section longer than the food and purchased more beauty products than food.
The one particular product that caught my eye was the Pumpkin body butter. I grabbed it without hesitation. Are you kidding me?! I might sound like every other American girl my age, but I do not care. Anything pumpkin or fall-scented must be in my possession immediately during October and November. Using this cream has completely changed my life. It smells fantastic, feels like heaven when I use it after a shower, lasts forever, and was only $6! I keep mine next to my Coconut one in the refrigerator, and even as the weather gets colder, nothing feels more refreshing than lathering on cold pumpkin-scented body butter.
As if I didn’t have enough, Trader Joe’s has released a new holiday edition, in the scent (flavor?) “Shimmering Candy Cane.” you best believe I am running to buy it as soon as I can. As of now, I leave you with this information and a message: I will be purchasing any body butter that Trader Joe’s makes, and you should too.
Thank you. (p.s: I know they released a Brazil Nut body butter that was a dupe for the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream, but I wasn't able to purchase it, so please don’t remind me. Ok? Thanks)
